Thanksgiving and Climate

I want to think about all I have to be thankful for: My wonderful wife and children, our extended family and our friends who are like family, for the only country in the world which recognizes individual rights, and for the love of God who created all of the above. I have been truly blessed, and for that I am truly grateful. I have also been blessed which some adversity, which "if it doesn't kill me, makes me stronger..." And for a sense of humor to deal with it all. In that vein, go to http://www.minnesotansforglobalwarming.com/m4gw/ and watch "Hide the Decline". It is hilarious, then go to the Drudge Report and read some of the articles exposing the "Global warming" for the farce it is.

Terror Trials?

The prospect of trying the Gitmo terrorists in civil court brings forth many complications for the American people. First is the approach the administration is taking. Bringing these terrorists into civil court and granting them the rights of US citizens legitimizes their position. It also calls into play the fact that these men were, unlike Timothy McVeigh, not "Mirandized" making any information they provided inadmissible in US court. With the statements by Holder and Obama that these men would be tried, convicted, and executed, makes a farce of our "fair" system of justice. Which is already in enough trouble and does not need any "help" from these two. Their statements could have come from any third world dictatorship, Zimbabwe for example. Secondly, if we can bring these men into court, try and convict them without following our established judicial procedures, does that establish a precedence that one of us can be arrested and held and tried without following our established judicial procedures? Not that presidents have a record of trying to circumvent legal restraints, nor have established "enemies lists". And thirdly, it is providing a distraction while Reid, Pelosi, and company are trying to hyjack our health care system. Stay alert, stay focused, and stockpile.

Don't Be Distracted

Ok, I agree that it is wrong to bring the prisoners from Gitmo to NY for trial, but that is not the real issue. This is a distraction from the attempt to seize health care in the US. These people are not stupid, they would not be in power if they were. These are calculating, cunning political animals. They grew up on the works of Mao, Stalin, Lenin, and Sun Tzu. They learned their lessons well. Do NOT let these people redirect your energy away from the matter at hand. As the good Congresswoman Foxx from NC stated:"I believe that the greatest fear that we all should have ... to our freedom comes from this room, this very room, and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill," she said. "I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country." What the Gitmo terrorists did was horrible, but it pales in comparison with what Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are trying to do. And remember, the Obama/Holder record on handling terrorists is nothing to be proud of. Holder arranged pardons for Puerto Rican terrorists, failed to prosecute Black Panther terrorists, and Obama endorses Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, so don't expect much from these guys. Besides, when did foreign enemies receive the rights and protections of American citizens?

Health Care

The first round of the fight for America's health care has been lost, but the fight is not over. We must show the same strength and determination as the men of Valley Forge and continue to fight the good fight. According to Politico's Ben Smith, some lawmakers who voted against this proposed destruction of the best health care system in the world have been targeted by the DNC and their minions. These brave men and women are listed below, we all owe them our heartfelt thanks. Please call, write, and/or email these legislators, whether they are in your district or not, and encourage them to continue to vote against these bills to empower government take over of our health care system. Chicago style pressure will be brought to bear against them and they deserve to know we support them, and appreciate what they have done.
