Politicians Betray Military, Again!

With the passage of the repeal of the law banning homosexuals from serving openly in the US Armed Forces, the politicians have once again shown their complete disdain of our brave men and women in uniform. "Politicians" includes democrats, republicans, and Pentagon brass. Once a service member reaches the 'lofty heights' (or, the depths of turpitude) of Pentagon leadership, that service member is no more than a political hack, similar to the 'leadership' in congress today. This is not the first time that leftist and self-serving politicians have used social engineering in the military. It is to be remembered that the Pentagon authorized and ordered LSD testing on our own troops. And the military denied the effects of Agent Orange for decades, not to mention Gulf War Syndrome from the first Gulf War. And today, our VA is an abysmal disgrace, mis-treating our wounded or not treating them at all, and our Commander in Chief even proposed that our wounded pay for their own medical expenses. In congress, people like John Murtha make false accusations against our troops in the combat zone, Senate Leader Reid proclaims that the war in Iraq is lost, and our troops are severely restricted in their ability to even defend themselves, much less win a war. These politicians are working to dismantle our military because the US military is the last bastion of pro-America belief in our tepid government. We the people spoke in November against this type of policy and these criminals in Washington refused to listen. We shall have to continue to speak consistently and loud. Pete Dawkins retired as a Brigadier General because to continue on the path he was on would have landed him in the midst of the political pigsty that is the Pentagon, and to do so would have caused him to compromise everything he lived his life for: duty, honor, country. The very things politicians do not understand, and if they do, they despise. God bless the United States of America and our wonderful military men and women.

Absentee Vote Tampering

Apparently the democrats are not satisfied with just blocking military absentee ballots from being counted (2000 presidential election democrats blocked Florida military absentee ballots from being counted) and democratic controlled election commissions across the country have failed to mail out absentee ballots to service members serving overseas 2010, at least one democratic state party is trying to 'stuff the ballot box' with fraudulent absentee ballots. Imagine that! That sounds like Chicago or Memphis or anywhere there is a strong democratic political machine. See the following story:
Residents cry foul over ballots
By: PETER HALL
Bucks County Courier Times
A petition was filed with the Board of Elections over absentee ballots.

A trio of Bucks County residents backed by the county Republican committee say they have evidence linking Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy's campaign to a scheme to flood the county voter registration office with fraudulent applications for absentee ballots.

In a petition filed Tuesday, county Republicans say the name of Murphy's campaign manager appeared on a Bristol post office box where voters were urged in a series of letters paid for by the state Democratic Committee to send absentee ballot applications.

The county Republicans submitted with the petition a photograph of a note inside the mailbox that said, "Tim Percico and Paul Hampel only pick up mail." Tim Persico is Murphy's campaign manager, although his name is misspelled in the note. Hampel is a volunteer for the Democratic state committee who said he collects mail from the box.

While county and state Democratic officials denied involvement in the letter campaign or refused to discuss it, Persico said Tuesday that the "PA Vote 2010" project that paid for the letters is a partnership between Murphy's campaign and the state Democrats.

Persico said the goal of the project is to help eligible Democratic voters obtain and cast absentee ballots.

He dismissed assertions by Republican critics that the letters were misleadingly worded and noted that the Democratic state committee clearly takes credit for the mailings, which comply with all election laws.

"The only reason the Republican Party is mad is working parents and college kids are sending in an application because they want to vote," Persico said.

Neither Murphy nor a spokeswoman for his campaign returned calls Tuesday.

Bucks County Democratic Party Chairman John Cordisco said the county Democratic organization has no connection to the letters or the fraud alleged in the petition. "If there was voter registration fraud, it was being done outside the Democratic organization," Cordisco said.

In response to the Republican petition, the Bucks County Board of Elections scheduled a hearing 9:30 a.m. Friday at the courthouse to hear evidence of what the Republicans characterize as a coordinated effort to trick voters into improperly applying for absentee ballots and efforts to submit fraudulent applications for absentee ballots.

"While some of these invalid applications have been caught and rejected by the Board of Elections, we believe many other defective and objectionable applications were inadvertently approved by the Board of Elections due to the pervasive nature of the fraud," the petition says.

The petition also asks county election officials to secure all completed absentee ballots at the courthouse in Doylestown until the board of elections can conduct an investigation of the claims.

The petition is signed by Kelly McGinty of Middletown, and Carlo and Lucy Grilletto of Plumstead. Bucks County Republican Party Vice Chairwoman Pat Poprik said party officials and volunteers have gathered evidence in support of the claims put forth in the petition. The signatories are people who have been involved in the Republican Party, she said.

"They're a group of people who are just disgusted with what's been going on," Poprik said. "God bless them, they came forward to do something about it."

The petition is the latest in a series of alarms county and state Republicans have sounded over an influx of questionable absentee ballot applications. Last week, Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler said his office would investigate allegations of fraud leveled by state and county Republican officials.

Voter Registration Director Deena Dean said her staff had rejected more than 600 defective absentee ballot applications as of Friday. Although the voter registration office continued to accept applications until the close of business Tuesday, Dean was unable to provide an updated total.

The petition focused foremost on a series of letters voters in Bucks County began receiving some time after Labor Day. On letterhead of the fictitious Pennsylvania Voter Assistance Office, the mailings warned recipients that their right to participate in the Nov. 2 election might be in jeopardy if they failed to respond.

Advertisement The letters are signed by Frank S. Schultz, a Levittown resident who contributed $2,750 to Murphy's 2008 campaign, according to Federal Election Commission records.

The letters included an absentee ballot application and a postage-paid envelope addressed to post office box 2172 at the Bristol Borough post office on Beaver Street. The petition includes a photo in which the note containing Persico's name is visible through the window of the post office box.

"The bogus letter seeks to trick voters into needlessly registering for absentee ballots and then, for reasons unknown, causes them to send those ballots to a post office box apparently controlled by the Democratic candidate for Congress," the petition says.

Poprik said the photograph was taken Monday by a volunteer for the county Republican committee who she declined to name. The photograph bears a date stamp of "08/06/2009," which Poprik said was the result of the camera being improperly set up.

"The applications then appear to be sent to a central processing location to be gathered, screened and held, as evidenced by the fact that the dates on numerous applications are dated several weeks before the application were received in the Board of Elections," the petition says.

Persico said the purpose of collecting the applications at a central location is to track who applied and ensure that they have received their ballots.

The petition also cites a widely circulated e-mail from the Murphy campaign that encourages affiliates to gather absentee ballot applications from infrequent voters.

Six Bucks County residents provided affidavits included in the petition in which they describe encounters with campaign workers who instructed them to complete absentee ballot applications when they did not plan to be out of town for the election or to sign the names of family members to obtain ballots for them.

One woman said that she received the Pennsylvania Voter Assistance Office letters and discarded them. "Nonetheless an absentee ballot was submitted in her name," the petition says.

Finally, the petition says the volume of rejected ballot applications suggests that additional incomplete and fraudulent applications have inadvertently passed through the board of elections screening process.

"More time is needed to test the veracity and reliability of those ballots already submitted to the Board of Elections," the petition says.

Bucks County Commissioner Chairman Charley Martin, who also chairs the board of elections, said he consulted the board's solicitor and believes that a hearing to consider the petitioners' evidence is appropriate.

Martin said the board will hear the evidence and take action to address any problems within its power.

"If it is not in the bailiwick of the board of elections then it will be for the district attorney to consider," Martin said.

Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia, who is also a member of the board of elections, said she has questions whether the board of elections has authority under the election code to consider problems with absentee ballot applications. Marseglia also said she is not worried about the integrity of absentee ballots themselves.

Marseglia added that the controversy over absentee ballots involves two distinct issues - the matter of the misleading Democratic state committee letters and the question of whether forged applications are being submitted.

"I don't think the board of elections has any responsibility to deal with a political piece," she said. "We have a responsibility to deal with absentee ballots."

Murphy's Republican opponent Mike Fitzpatrick called the allegations very serious. He noted that he took an interest in the rejected ballot applications last week, but said the county Republican party has done all of the investigating.

"I think the allegations are very serious and the potential fraud upon the voters of this county is substantial," Fitzpatrick said.

Well, isn't that interesting, wasn't it in Philadelphia that the New Black Party was intimidating voters at the polls during the last election? And did anything come from that? Hmmm.....

"Can They Kill Hot Rodding?" Article From Popular Hotrodding Magazine

Well, the leftists are not content with taking your guns, making ammo affordable, legalizing illegal aliens, and forcing gays into the military, no, they are after everything American. Now, apparently, they are trying to outlaw hotrods, for the 'good of the environment'. I have linked the editorial in the November 2010 Popular Hodrodding which also has an in depth article in the magazine. Do not underestimate the leftists and their front groups, they have been very successful over the past decades, like a turtle crossing the road, eventually they will get to the other side. The current administration is trying to push our country over the edge in order to spread the misery of the third world. Many local and state governments are in a similar situation, that is why we have to participate in all elections and pay close attention to these politicians. Reid, Pelosi, and Obama started at the bottom and worked their way into positions of tremendous power. And now threaten our entire way of life.

Really Disturbing

The following was posted on NEws With Views and really reinforced what I had already known about our 'public' school systems (my wife and having raised our now adult children in 'public' schools).
AMERICA'S FAILING PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM
By Ashley Anderson, 16 years old
September 16, 2003
NewsWithViews.com

It's back to school time!

This is for all the parents and their children who attend public school. I attended public school all my life, until September 2002 when I began attending a private, Christian school. The differences are incredible!

Reading, writing, and arithmetic used to be what a child learned in school. Is this what you think your child is getting in school?

Throughout most of my time spent in public school, the kids in my classes only read one or two books throughout the whole year. I was identified as being smart/dumb enough to go to "Gifted and Talented" a.k.a. Advanced Placement classes. The Advanced Placement courses have now been replaced with IB classes, which are part of the International Baccalaureate Organization, UNESCO, United Nations. In this class, we were assigned numerous short stories to read, mostly about the myths of other countries, and about their religions. This class bragged it was a higher-level class, in which advanced students could "maximize" their learning capacity. I was busy learning about the religions and cultures of other countries, but never knowing such authors as Henry van Dyke, Washington Irving, O. Henry, or even Henry Wadsworth Longfellow until I attended private school. These authors and others like Mark Twain and Emily Dickinson are purely American, and the basis for all literary writings in America to date. Why were they never taught to me? Even in the so-called advanced classes we never read "Rip van Winkle." Instead, we were assigned books like "The Giver" by Lois Lowry, which gave the details of killing babies and living in a world where no one was special and a person's worth was based on his/her ability to conform to the group. Was I being conditioned?

After reading this letter in a shortened form in the newspaper last week, two public school teachers fired back with a letter of their own. They spoke about how great their school was and how their students read a book a week, not one a year. Are they really reading them, or are they "skimming" and using "study guides" to pass the test? They criticized my remarks about "The Giver" being inappropriate reading. They said,

"The Giver is certainly about much more than 'killing babies'. In fact, the reader should realize the novel is based on what would happen if our individuality, freedom and world were taken away. Its theme is similar to 'Fahrenheit 451' by Ray Bradbury and '1984' by George Orwell."

I wonder if they know that Lois Lowry's book is being read to children as young as 6 years old and sometimes younger? How can a child that young understand the significance of what's being read to them? After reading it, I was really shaken up, wondering why I was reading something like that when I was only in the seventh grade. This was in the "Advanced Placement/pre-IB" class; I was still only about 12 years old. What about the book, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou? It's a book also being assigned to black as well as white children to read. It's a story filled with disappointment, frustration, and tragedy. Why do young children need to know that the author was raped at the age of eight? This is literary significance?

Kids are told they will be writing in a "journal" and that no one will see it except the teacher, and they are free to write whatever they are feeling. They could write about parents, friends, pastor, and anyone else, and parents would never know! When I was given this assignment, I knew my privacy was being invaded, so I wrote about how ridiculous it was to write in a journal. It was really none of the school's business. Strangely, I was never reprimanded or counseled. They were profiling me and to see how and what I thought. Why else would they want to pry into my private life?

They were treating me like just another "product" of the education system, just another number. They want worker bees. Push a button. Pull a lever. Get just enough 'education' to learn how to be compliant, happy little 21st Century workers who don't ask any questions and keep their noses to the grindstone. I thought, "surely, not my school". I was wrong.

In the 8th grade, my science class spent the first six weeks learning from the end of the textbook. It was all about global warming, recycling, and population control. It made me wonder how this "control" will be accomplished. My teacher wanted to get all those things out of the way so we wouldn't have to deal with them later in the year, but why are they in the curriculum in the first place?

For one geography assignment, I was asked to list all the major appliances in my house including microwave ovens, telephones, televisions, etc. They even wanted to know what the highest level of education my parents had achieved, and a roundabout figure of how much they earned each year. It was an exercise to make me feel badly that American families have so much and the rest of the world goes needy. I began to feel sorry for people in other countries who don't have as much. I started to want everything to be fair, and for everyone to have exactly the same. The very things my parents taught me, like working hard, don't cheat anyone, and earn your own way, were changed little by little in seeing how people live in these third-world toilets. It scared me that someone could just change my ideals by playing on my emotions. They were manipulating my compassionate feelings and using them against me to make me want what they call "equality". I still wonder at how they will use the list (which was taken up) in the future.

When my mother was in school, she was taught phonics. In public school, I was taught to memorize the look of words and how they sounded. I was taught to remember the answer, not understand the question. I didn't have spelling or vocabulary words to learn past the sixth or seventh grade. Why not? In my private school, everyone has spelling and vocabulary words, in every grade, every week, to understand and learn how to use them in sentences. Words like philanthropy, misanthropic, and ameliorate were never taught to me in public school, despite the so-called "advanced" classes I was in. My mother, however, insisted on my having vocabulary words, even though it was not provided in public school.

Reliance on technology was very big in public school. I was told not to worry about spelling something correctly, because computers have spell check programs on them. Isn't school the place to learn how to spell correctly? These were English papers I was writing in middle school and I'm not supposed to be concerned with spelling?

Learning arithmetic has taken on a whole new meaning in public schools. I was told to use a calculator every chance I got, and was even reprimanded for doing the work on paper. I know how to push a button on the rectangular device, and it's not that difficult. The more advanced students are made to wait for the others to catch up, and the advanced students are given "busy" work. I reviewed daily however, when doing the math in my head or on a piece of paper. The textbook often goes unfinished, and the students are passed anyway, because they tried their best.

Grading on a curve is commonplace in public schools, so the students don't know if they're doing anything wrong. I had the same geometry teacher my older brother had when he was at that age. Mr. Smith we'll say, actually told the class: "Some of you need to miss a few questions for the team…' He was meaning of course that it would make the top grade of the 'curve' look better.

That was in the eighth grade in public school. In the ninth grade I took Algebra. When I changed to private school, I retook Algebra because my new school taught it differently, being more advanced, and with more of the textbook. This year I'm taking trig and Algebra II, both of my own choice. I know I'll be getting the most out of them because we won't be waiting for everyone to catch up like we did in public school. I can learn at my own pace.

Most kids in public schools are uncontrollable. How can any learning actually take place? Respect for authority, integrity, and honor are not virtues generally practiced by students who attend public school. If the administrators were to enforce the rules they have, they wouldn't need to make more. Total control is the only thing gained when making more rules than needed, or altering the students individually.

I see now that teachers in public school seemed to be watching for kids who were having trouble concentrating on things, or who were especially disruptive. Only later did I learn that these kids were sent home with notes from the teacher recommending the parents take them to the doctor to get medicine for their "behavior problem"; a mind-altering drug called methylphenidate, or Ritalin. Schools get extra help (money) from Uncle Sam for putting up with kids using this medication. Many parents will tell you that their children on Ritalin act like zombies; my brother did for five years, until my mother insisted on taking him off of it. Ritalin use causes shrinkage of brain tissue, according to medical sources. Does your child's school brag about being "Drug Free"?

I was amazed at how well-behaved the students at my private school were. Not only did they work hard, but were courteous, polite, and obedient. These things are a direct result of the proper atmosphere that a private school provides. Christian values are taught, along with studying the Bible, which, needless to say, is strictly taboo in a public school.

Although I had some great teachers in public school, which are extremely hard to find, they could do nothing with the curriculum they were given from their superiors, not to mention the state, and the Department of Education, which is a part of the federal government. The department itself is unconstitutional; "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." The United States as is written here means the federal government, or national government. The Constitution allowed no such power to the federal government as to run a federal department of education. Therefore, it is unconstitutional. The Constitution, since 1787, is and has been the Supreme Law of the land.

I encourage all those who care about their children and grandchildren to go searching for the answer. There is a lot of information available but you may have to look no further than a book by Charlotte Iserbyt called "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America". It gives a detailed account of what really happens in public schools, why, and where the corruption comes from.

Students: no one can tell you who you are. If you don't think for yourself, someone else will. It might be a strong-willed friend, the media, or even our own government. Some people would have us believe that young people can't do anything about it, even if we wanted to try. One thing we can and should do, and that's spread the word about what is going on; but you have to learn more about it.

Even though it may be difficult to fund attending a private school or homeschooling, it is the only immediate way to stop what is being shoved down the throats of America's youth. Soon even these may be forbidden. What is the most important thing? Is it more important to play football or be a cheerleader and end up flipping hamburgers in a fast food joint, or actually learning something that will be valuable to you the rest of your life?

Defend your mind, and ask questions. Don't take anything for granted. Public school is not going to change, because it is running exactly how the government wants it to run. Follow the money.

I am grateful to those teachers who taught me to think for myself and from whom I actually learned many things. They became my friends. It's because of them that I find it easy to defend the facts and stand up for the righteous truth. They are employees of the federal government, whether they think so or not, because public school is 'public' school, if you're in Arkansas or Wyoming.

I am a Christian. Believers don't belong in Pharaoh's schools. This is not the time for us to stick our heads in the dirt and hope that everything goes all right. The remnant of Christ's followers exists today as foretold in the Bible. This is the time for all believers in Christ to rise up and defend the rights our Forefathers left to us. I will stand and fight until the end, because I owe it to my country. What will you do?

Thank you mom for caring enough about me to take me out of the public school system so that I can get a proper education. Now, I am no longer a part of the dumbed down masses.

Drug Dealers

Drug dealers are the purveyors of death, not only of individuals, but of society as a whole. Drugs have proven to be a worse epidemic than the plague, cancer, and heart disease combined. Drug abuse is killing our country and every free country in the world. This is genocide of people and freedom and the resulting penalty should be execution on the spot. Period. If drug dealers are executed at the point of being caught selling their poison, then that will reduce the temptation for the next generation of dealers to take up the trade. This sounds barbaric, but we are at the point of surviving as a nation or committing collective suicide. I choose to survive. What is your choice?

The Homosexual Political Agenda

I don't normally discuss these issues, but the issue is being forced. Homosexuality and its radical politics have forced their way onto national security. The homosexual advocates are pressuring the US military to accept openly homosexual personnel into its ranks. The US military is the finest in the world and has been largely undefeated in the field since the beginning of the American Revolution in 1775. Forcing the US military to accept open homosexuals into its ranks would be detrimental to national security. That is exactly what the left in America wants to happen. The left in America hate the US, its freedoms, and its form of government, and the homosexual's radical politics are part and parcel leftist politics. I do not care what someone does in their bedroom. I do not want to know what someone does in their bedroom. To force sexuality into public politics is to debase the political system and to minimize actual issues facing the country. Homosexuality corrupts, in that the word 'gay' by definition means happy and joyful, the homosexuals have forever besmirched this fine word. Also, the rainbow, a beautiful piece of natural artwork and the seal that God would not again destroy the world with water, a sign of God's love, has been hijacked into being the standard, or flag, for the homosexual political agenda. The left has many forms, some of them obvious and obnoxious and others more subtle and we must be alert for all their forms and tactics and defeat them.

You Gotta Laugh...

I enjoy old humor and in these times we must not lose our sense of humor so here are some quotes from one of my favorites, W.C. Fields:
A woman drove me to drink and I didn't even have the decency to thank her.
Abstaining is favorable both to the head and the pocket.
Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake.
Anyone who hates children and animals can't be all bad.
Hell, I never vote for anybody, I always vote against.
Horse sense is the thing a horse has which keeps it from betting on people.
I am free of all prejudices. I hate every one equally.
I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.
Hopefully these made you smile.

Obama is Brilliant

For those who think Obama is an idiot, I beg to differ. He has effectively become president of the US without having any experience to draw upon, making even Carter look vastly more prepared for the office. But... he is accomplishing what he has set out to do. Consolidate power in the executive branch, render the supreme court subservient, and push through much of his agenda. He is aware of the backlash against his policies, and is using this as a tool to keep himself in power. Look, if the republicans are able to gain seats in the House or Senate, and possibly control one of them, in 2011 Obama can again do what he does best. Campaign. He is a brilliant campaigner. He will be able to point at "obstructionist" republicans and blame them for stopping his agenda halfway through his first term. And the cowardly republicans, not wanting to offend, will splutter and make excuses, because the republicans will not be the ones to stop Obama and his horrible agenda. It is the productive, responsible people of the US who will have stopped Obama's agenda and these people are not his constituents, any way. Obama used mob rule (democracy) to force and intimidate himself into power and fully intends to do so again. Once this election cycle is over you will see the Obama administration forcing through an illegal immigrant amnesty bill, probably with help from republicans like McCain and Graham, and then all those new 'citizens' will be registered to vote and guess for whom? No, Obama is not an idiot, he is a Machiavellian genius, much like Mussolini, Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Castro. Stock up now, on beans and bullets, you will need them. Molon labe!!!

New Orleans and Nashville

The media is full of reports on the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina's damage to New Orleans. Five years have passed and we still hear more about New Orleans than the May 2010 floods that devastated Nashville and surrounding areas, merely four months ago. Why is that? Could it be that Nashville did not cry out for help? Could it be that there was no looting? Could it be that there was no local police disarming honest citizens? Could it be that there was no police shooting of citizens? Could it be that taking responsibility for yourself and your community does not make 'good news'? Interesting questions all, but I was sent a link to a youtube video that I found very enlightening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFjaQoOdJvI See what you think.

Illegals Have More Rights Than Citizens

According to the '9th Circus Court of Appeals' in , of course, San Francisco, it is constitutional for government agents to sneak onto a citizen's property and affix a GPS tracking device to their car and track their movements without a warrant. This affects citizens in 11 states and 19.72% of total US population. One fifth of the US citizens have now lost their rights under the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America,
Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
However, people suspected of being illegally in the US cannot be asked by law enforcement for proof of identity and/or residence status, so ruled the same '9th Circus Court of Appeals'. So, if you are a citizen of these 11 states, you lose your rights and if you are an illegal alien, you are exempt from obeying US laws. Great...

Charlie Reese Has Done It, Again!

Retired writer Charlie Reese has once again seen the problem with our country and accurately pointed it out. You have to read this one.
545 PEOPLE -- By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he/she votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.... . The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace
545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power..

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Iran Goes Nuclear, US and UK Proclaim No Threat...

Iran, that peaceful state which has denied the holocaust and proclaimed that Israel should be wiped off the face of the map, is now nuclear. Yea, don't we all feel safer now? And the US proclaimed that "it is no threat to anyone's security". While Iran's president stated that if attacked Iran would strike out at the whole world. The UK stated that they had always respected Iran's right to "civilian nuclear power. Right, like Hitler had right to remilitarize the Rhineland in 1936. "It is, afterall, his own backyard." I'm not arguing for attacking Iran, I am arguing in favor of returning to the doctrine of America First! Then we would deal with the winners of these local wars.

PETA Is PO'ed

As you have probably heard, Dodge drew the ire of PETA with their ad featuring a chimpanzee. Dodge then outsmarted the PETA freaks and digitally removed the chimp, leaving his suit in the ad. PETA called it a victory because Dodge caved, but Dodge got extra mileage out of the ad. Now the PETA freaks will probably cry to their Obamessiah to have "government" funds removed from the lesser brother of government motors. Interesting that Ford did not have any "government" bailout money and is doing great. Three cheers for President Harding.

If Americans Were as Tolerant as Islam....

As I have driven across America I am still amazed at what a wonderful country we have. Yes, we have problems, but we have overcome so many and are working to overcome so many more. I see mosques, Catholic churches, synagogues, and protestant churches in the same communities, and I think, in what other country can you see this? We Americans are a stubborn people. We want to work to provide for our families, we want to spend time with our families, and we want to be left alone. It is part of that “do unto others…” thing. I was driving with my wife and saw a mosque in the distance and thought, how can people believe the hateful things that the islamisc extremists say about America?
If Americans were as tolerant as islam, then after September 11, 2001, every mosque in America would have been burned down.
If Americans were as tolerant as islam, every muslim, men, women, children, would have been killed.
If Americans were as tolerant as islam, our republican government would have been replaced with the Spanish Inquisition, with heretics being persecuted and tortured into conversion or death.
If Americans were as tolerant as islam, all women would have to surrender their driver’s license, could not be seen in public without a male member of their family, could not own property.
If we are nicer to the islamisc extremists then perhaps we will be as tolerant as they are. Wait, that won’t work out well for them.

Now, This is Embarrassing...

What is going on? The world is laughing at the US more than at any time since the late 1970's and the French president is coming across as a tough guy? On July 26 President Sarkozy vowed revenge on the muslim terrorists who beheaded a french missionary in northern Niger. Three cheers for Sarkozy, pity we don't have a president who cares as much about our citizens. And then today, Sarkozy ordered the expulsion of illegal gypsy immigrants from France! Vie la France! (Bet you never thought you would hear me say that!) What's embarrassing is that the US should not be in the situation where France looks like John Wayne and the US looks like Marcel Marceau. I trained with the french when I was in the military and, like the other allies I trained with, found them to be very capable in their missions. It is their national leadership, or lack thereof, which has always been their downfall. My how things have changed, France has strong leadership and the US is floundering under an obese federal government and millions of illegal aliens, both of which are draining the life out of our country. As I said, now, this is embarrassing...

Is Russia Supporting Insurgency in Afghanistan?

Ok, admittedly I am slow and many of you have already thought of this, but for some reason it hit me that Russia may be supporting the Taliban in its fight against the US forces. Why would they do that, you ask. Well, during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan the US, under the leadership of President Reagan, supported the Mujahedeen in its fight against the Soviets. Vladimir Putin, the not so behind the scenes leader of Russia was KGB and holds no love for a strong US or a successful integration of a stable Afghanistan into an American orbit. If Americans withdraw from Afghanistan and chaos resumes, then the Russians could step in as a stabilizing force, without much criticism from the US. Besides, Russians hold long grudges and this could be a win-win situation for the Russians.

Election Tampering by Democrats?

I know this is hard to believe, but investigators have found that Sen. Franken of Minnesota could have been elected by votes cast illegally by convicted felons. Here's the story:
Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Finds
By Ed Barnes
Published July 12, 2010
| FoxNews.com
AP

A study finds that at least 341 convicted felons voted illegally in the election that made former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Al Franken a U.S. senator in 2008.

The six-month election recount that turned former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Al Franken into a U.S. senator may have been decided by convicted felons who voted illegally in Minnesota's Twin Cities.

That's the finding of an 18-month study conducted by Minnesota Majority, a conservative watchdog group, which found that at least 341 convicted felons in largely Democratic Minneapolis-St. Paul voted illegally in the 2008 Senate race between Franken, a Democrat, and his Republican opponent, then-incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman.

The final recount vote in the race, determined six months after Election Day, showed Franken beat Coleman by 312 votes -- fewer votes than the number of felons whose illegal ballots were counted, according to Minnesota Majority's newly released study, which matched publicly available conviction lists with voting records.

Furthermore, the report charges that efforts to get state and federal authorities to act on its findings have been "stonewalled."

"We aren't trying to change the result of the last election. That legally can't be done," said Dan McGrath, Minnesota Majority's executive director. "We are just trying to make sure the integrity of the next election isn't compromised."

He said his group was largely ignored when it turned over a list of hundreds of names to prosecutors in two of the state's largest counties, Ramsey and Hennepin, where fraud seemed to be the greatest.

A spokesman for both county attorneys' offices belittled the information, saying it was "just plain wrong" and full of errors, which prompted the group to go back and start an in-depth look at the records.

"What we did this time is irrefutable," McGrath said. "We took the voting lists and matched them with conviction lists and then went back to the records and found the roster lists, where voters sign in before walking to the voting booth, and matched them by hand.

"The only way we can be wrong is if someone with the same first, middle and last names, same year of birth as the felon, and living in the same community, has voted. And that isn't very likely."

The report said that in Hennepin County, which in includes Minneapolis, 899 suspected felons had been matched on the county's voting records, and the review showed 289 voters were conclusively matched to felon records. The report says only three people in the county have been charged with voter fraud so far.

A representative of the Hennepin County attorney's office, who declined to give her name, said "there was no one in the office today to talk about the charges."

But the report got a far different review in Ramsey County, which contains St. Paul. Phil Carruthers of the Ramsey County attorney's office said his agency had taken the charges "very seriously" and found that the Minnesota Majority "had done a good job in their review."

The report says that in Ramsey, 460 names on voting records were matched with felon lists, and a further review found 52 were conclusive matches.

Carruthers attributed differences in the numbers to Minnesota Majority's lack of access to nonpublic information, such as exact birth dates and other court records. For example, he said, "public records might show a felon was given 10 years probation, but internal records the county attorney has might show that the probation period was cut to five and the felon was eligible to vote."

Carruthers said Ramsey County is still investigating all the names and has asked that 15 investigators be hired to complete the process. "So far we have charged 28 people with felonies, have 17 more under review and have 182 cases still open," he said. "And there is a good chance we may match or even exceed their numbers."

McGrath says the report shows that more still has to be done.

"Prosecutors have to act more swiftly in prosecuting cases from the 2008 election to deter fraud in the future," he said, "and the state has to make sure that existing system, that flags convicted felons so voting officials can challenge them at the ballot, is effective. In 90 percent of the cases we looked at, the felons weren't flagged."

"If the state had done that," he said, "things might be very different today."
It is, after all, the Chicago way.

Hands Across America Protest

I have one thing to say to the protesters, "Phooey on you!" All you were doing was getting on tv, nothing substantive. If you want to protest deep water oil drilling, then park your car and throw away the keys. Do not use any oil powered means of transportation, i.e., taxies, buses, trains, airplanes, ships, or subways. Do something meaningful, sacrifice if you feel that strongly about it, otherwise you will appear as what you are, spoiled children who are still living off their parents.

NC Congressman Attacks First Amendment

Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC) recently was approached by citizens on a street in Washington, DC, was asked a polite question, and promptly attacked the student reporter who asked the question. Have these Congressmen all forgotten that they work for the citizens of the United States? Why wasn't the Congressman arrested for assault, you or I would have been. Or if the student had assaulted the Congressman, he would have been put under the jail. It is time to remind the members of Congress that they are paid employees and they need to be reminded by being fired. This was not only a personal attack, it was symptomatic of the governments' disdain for the Constitutional Rights enumerated more than 200 years ago. The Constitution and Bill of Rights were drafted and ratified to acknowledge individual rights and to restrain the government from trying to deny those rights. Not only North Carolina, but all states need to take a long, hard look at their representatives and remove the problems from positions of power.

Deep Water Horizon Disaster Opportunists

“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” the words of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. It is the time worn and effective method used by politicians to distract people's attention away from what politicians are doing. The Deep Water Horizon disaster could not have been scripted any better for this particular regime. Remember, this is a very effective political machine. Just because what they are doing does not make sense to us, does not mean that they are not on track with their agenda, big government and the population's dependence on it. So, knowing this regime, the Deep Water Horizon's explosion and subsequent oil spill is playing into their plan perfectly. First, the Obama regime is completely opposed to the private sector of the economy and will do anything possible to discredit and destroy the private sector. Energy is a huge part of the economy and provides a good living for a huge section of the hated middle classes. By using this as evidence he put into place a moratorium on offshore oil drilling, even after his regime gave the Deep Water Horizon an award for safety. (Amazing what $1 million in campaign donations can get you.) This effectively puts these men and women out of work indefinitely. Early in the disaster Gov. Jindal requested permission from the federal government to build artificial sand bars to protect Louisiana's coasts from the approaching oil , but was ignored by the federal bureaucracy. In hindsight Gov Jindal should have invoked the 10th Amendment and proceeded without the federal government's permission. The problem was EPA regulations which are so convoluted as to be a major hindrance to responding to such disasters. (Governors need to take note, when struck by disaster, do what you have to and then notify the feds when all the dust settles.) After the oil had reached the bayous, the feds responded. Typical.
Part two. The consequences for the people who earn their living from the coastlines and the Gulf are terrible. Some of the most independent people on the planet are Louisiana fishermen and all with this oil killing the shrimp, oysters, and other fish that normally end up on America's dinner plate, this ends not only their jobs this season, but for years to come. With the economy being what it is and unemployment being what it is, that makes all these people dependent on government, thus eliminating more of the middle class. Added consequences are that the disaster takes a huge section of our food supply away from us, forcing the US to import more food, causing the cost of our seafood to increase and, making us less self-sufficient, less independent, more part of the "global community".
Part three. The gist of utilizing the crises by this political regime is what can be accomplished behind the scenes while everyone is paying attention to the 24, 7 coverage of the oil spill. First and foremost, the Obama regime took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama regime intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department (Hilary Clinton) to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments, such as Russia, Communist China, North Korea, Cuba, Mexico, and others. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto. The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.
The First Amendment is also in the regime's crosshairs. HR 5175 which is passing through committee, would silence Obama/democrat critics prior to elections. The so-called DISCLOSE Act would severely limit the ability of political groups to communicate to their members and the general public. And,the federal government would have “absolute power” to shut down the Internet under the terms of a new US Senate bill being pushed by Joe Lieberman, legislation which would hand President Obama a figurative “kill switch” to seize control of the world wide web in response to a Homeland Security directive. Lieberman has been pushing for government regulation of the Internet for years under the guise of cybersecurity, but this new bill goes even further in handing emergency powers over to the feds which could be used to silence free speech under the pretext of a national emergency. "Disclose" being big brother double speak similar to the "fairness doctrine". "War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength."
No, can't let a good crises go to waste, and this regime is trying to steal as much of your liberty as it can while pointing at the disaster.

Israel's Blockade of Gaza

This is old news, but I thought I would add my thoughts. First, Hamas is an international terrorist organization with the sworn objective of destroying Israel and has been at war with Israel since its inception. Since before Hamas seized control of the Gaza government they have been launching rockets and terrorist raids into Israeli civilian population centers. Israel is responding with a standard military practice, i.e., blockading the enemy from sea re-supply. This tactic has great historic precedent: The French navy blockaded the British strong point of Yorktown during the American War for Independence, the Union blockaded the Confederates during the American Civil War, Britain repeatedly blockaded French ports during their many wars, and again Britain blockaded German ports during WWI. Any one with half a brain realizes that if you enter a war zone you are liable to be killed, especially if you are trying to run a blockade operated by one of the best militaries in the world. Secondly, "humanitarian aid", in time after time we have watched as "aid" meant for poor, starving civilians in third world countries has been seized by the armed authorities or local warlords, only to be used for military operations. Hamas has sworn to destroy Israel, who do you think is going to receive the food, building supplies, medicines, clothing, etc. that was on board those ships? Duh! I hate that expression, but it fits the people who support these terrorists. So, three cheers for Israel, may they continue to intercept terrorists and those who would support them!!!

If Mayor Daley Had His Way, The Criminal Would Have Won, Again

80-Year-Old Chicago Man Kills Armed Home Invader

An 80-year-old Chicago man shot and killed an armed man who broke into his two-story house in a pre-dawn home invasion Wednesday on the city's West Side.

At about 5:20 a.m., the homeowner and his wife, also in her 80s, discovered the intruder entering their home through a back door. The homeowner, who had a gun, confronted and killed the burglar on the doorstep, police said. Cops said the intruder also fired his gun during the struggle.

"It's a good thing they had a gun, or they might be dead," said Curtis Thompson, who lives next door to the couple, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Neighbors described the elderly couple, who both walk with canes, as pillars of the community in Garfield Park, where home invasions have been all too frequent.

Their neighbor, Shaquite Johnson, told MyFoxChicago that the two are "heroes" for fighting off the attacker — and that the shooting means there is "one less criminal" walking the streets.
"They don't bother no one, so why would anyone do that to them?" she said.

Relatives of the couple told the Sun Times that the man is an Army veteran, his wife a former nurse. Police said neither the man nor the woman was injured in the attack.

The assailant, who was described by police as being in his 30s, was found slumped on the back doorstep of the couple's house, removed four hours after the shooting, the Sun Times reported.

No charges have been filed against the homeowner, but Chicago currently has a statute outlawing the possession of handguns. Its legality is currently being decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.

A high-profile Chicago attorney has already stepped forward offering to represent the man pro bono if he faces charges for possessing a weapon.

"Self-defense isn't just a right, it's a duty," said attorney Joel Brodsky. "If this man is prosecuted for saving his own life it's not just a travesty, it's justice turned inside out."
This is to remind you of McDonald Vs. Chicago, now before the Supreme Court which would strike down the law which currently makes this 80 year old veteran a criminal in Chicago. Mayor Daley strongly endorses the handgun ban law in Chicago, evidently believing that honest citizens have no right to defend themselves against criminals. Also, this illustrates the need to ensure we have a Supreme Court which will endorse our individual rights in such cases. Hmmm....

New Obama Threat

Elana Kagan is the latest extreme Obama nominee to threaten our Constitution and Bill of Rights. She has repeatedly advocated being an activist judge and is often at odds with the First Amendment. Joined with rhetoric of the need to control the Internet and reintroduction of the so-called 'fairness doctrine' this is indeed alarming to a free people. And reminiscent of Moscow 1921, Berlin 1933, and Peking 1949. With quotes like:"It should be no surprise by now that many of the votes a Supreme Court justice casts have little to do with technical legal ability and much to do with conceptions of value," Kagan said in a review of Yale law professor Stephen Carter's book "The Confirmation Mess." and:Kagan quoted Carter approvingly to say that to decide the hard cases that rise to the level of Supreme Court review, justices must use their judgment. When they do that, Kagan said (again citing Carter), their "own experience and values become the most important data."

It may be hard to divine just what Kagan meant, but it's "not calling balls and strikes," says Georgetown University law professor Pamela Harris.
In handwritten notes that were among the thousands of pages of documents Kagan provided the Senate Judiciary Committee, she said judicial review "should be exercised w/ caution" because it involves overturning the actions of popularly elected officials.

Interpreting the Constitution is not mechanical, she said. If it were, it "wouldn't be issue," Kagan wrote in abbreviated notes.

Interpretation, Kagan said, "necessarily + inevitably" involves "political + policy questions."
These all point to phoning and emailing your state's US senators and urging them to NOT confirm Ms. Kagan to the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Mama Grizzlies

Where are the men in the Republican party? It seems that the leadership of the Republican party is being taken over by the women of the party by necessity,i.e., The "Mama Grizzlies" referred to by Gov. Palin. We have Gov. Palin every where and calling the democrats on all of their anti-American rhetoric including boldly stating that Obama and the Democratic leadership would ban guns, ammunition, and gut the Second Amendment if given the chance. We have AZ Gov. Brewer signing an immigration enforcement law that should have been taken care of at federal level, but as the Fed has intentionally dropped the ball, the states are having to step up and handle it themselves. From MN we have Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann who has been a standard bearer for American citizens not just in Minnesota but throughout the country, and she is joined by Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee. These are the women of the Republican party and the American people. We need more like them and we need some men with their drive and leadership.

Illegal Aliens Amnesty

Amnesty Is Working Through Congress Again

Congress is once again trying to get the illegal aliens amnesty at US taxpayer expense, including gang members who ‘renounce’ gang membership. Some of the provisions that are being discussed are amnesty approval even without background check being completed, amnesty for previously exported illegal aliens, tax payer paid for lawyers for illegals, and illegals granted amnesty not having to pay back taxes owed the government. So, contact both of your state’s senators and all of your state’s representatives and state in very polite, but firm tones that you are opposed to amnesty for the illegals in this country and that we need to secure our borders from illegal aliens, drug smugglers, and other criminals crossing our southern border.

None Dare Call it Conspiracy

This is a very important book and I encourage you to read it. It was written and published in 1971 by Gary Allen. It is less than 200 pages but is crammed full of information. It can be read online at http://www.whale.to/b/allen_b1.html
I know it is dated, but so is the Constitution and it combined with the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence are the most important documents in history since the Bible. Much of the info in NDCC you probably know but this is a concise compilation of info which can be effectively used to help enlighten others. It is also documented and documentable evidence of what has been done to our country over the past century. It is so important that after rereading it I decided to put it in both blogs. Read it and encourage others to read it as well.

Arizona and California

As Arizona bravely steps forward to enforce immigration laws, school administrations in California step toward banning the First Amendment. On 5 May some students at Live Oak High School wore t-shirts emblazoned with American flags and were told to remove them, turn them inside out, or leave. The school administrators did not want to "incite a confrontation". Wait a minute, this is the United States of America, not Mexico, and cinco de mayo is not a US holiday. It is not even the Mexican version of Independence Day, it is merely the anniversary of the Mexicans first victory over the occupying French. Big deal, who hasn't beaten the French? But I digress, the First Amendment protects the four students wearing American flag t-shirts, and youth should be encouraged to patriotism, not punished for it. These school administrators are typical of the government employees of the Socialist Republic of California and the entire government system of CA needs to be replaced. Meanwhile, San Francisco has had harsh words for Arizona for wanting to enforce the rule of law. That alone should end debate, when San Francisco is against something, then it must be the right thing to do.

Quoting

I know I have been doing a great deal of quoting lately, but sometimes you just get in a mental state that you do not know how to express what is going on. As I have said before, if a man in a clean silk suit stepped into a pig sty, the clean would not rub off on the sty...I may not be in a silk suit, but I don't think I am pig sty material either, and it seems as if I have fallen in head first. So, until I get my head clear, here is another quote:
"No matter what the cause, social collapse will bring out the worst in those who did not prepare. Everyone of us will transition through four stages to get the things we need. We will BEG. As simple as asking if someone might share with you their water, a little food or fuel to help you on your way. Next, when that fails, we will offer goods or services to BARTER for the things we need. During times of extreme adversity, moral constraints will slacken if not disappear all together. If our request is denied and no means of earning what we need is offered, we will STEAL what we believe we need. Perhaps this is beyond our thinking now but what would any of us do to provide life sustaining essentials for our children? In the final stage of desperation we will KILL to get what we believe we need to survive. We may not start out with intent to kill but we will do it if survival demands it.

This being the case with each of us, what would you expect from the unprepared masses who live among us? Those first three months after "the curtain comes down" will be something right out of a horror movie. It won't be safe to walk the streets during the daytime much less at night.

For prepared families during those critical three months, it is vital to not present yourself as having resources. Use blackout curtains over windows of any rooms that have lighting. Stay indoors and allow no "emissions," such as smoke, cooking odors, music or radio sounds. Don't hang wash on the line outdoors and bury garbage quietly at night.

It would be prudent to live on ready to eat foods that require no cooking for those first three months. Warming with hot water is OK but if something needs heating on the stove, put it in a zip-lock bag so cooking smells won't carry in the breeze.

We tend to look down on mobile homes as frail structural protection, but looters will tend to pass by mobile homes as less likely to contain what they are looking for. If there are no boats or trailers visible and clutter is spread all over the yard, it would appear that the home had already been looted.

The object is to attract no attention. You need to look poor and in as bad shape as everyone else.

This would be a very bad time to start running a generator, using an outdoor grill or practicing your marksmanship.

Your lifeboat can only carry as many people as you have prepared for. Attempting to rescue more people than you have resources, could cost the lives everyone in the boat.

Some unchangeable rules are:

1. You can't change what caused the catastrophe.

2. People may die because they failed to prepare.

3. You can't alter rule #2 but you can jeopardize your family by trying."
Just some words of wisdom, sometimes the obvious things are the ones overlooked.

Really Scary

This was forwarded to me and I thought more people should see it.
This letter appeared in the Indianapolis Star (which is owned by the
same people who own the Arizona Republic ) and was sent to a very popular
Indiana Senator. This just goes to show everyone what pressure these
Democrats are currently under, so continue to let them know how you feel
about the healthcare bill.
Bill Stough

Shock to NBC This morning.

An Indianapolis doctor's letter to Sen. Bayh about the Bill(Note: Dr.
Stephen E. Frazer, MD practices as an anesthesiologist in Indianapolis ,
IN ) Here is a letter I sent to Senator Bayh.. Feel free to copy it
and send it around to all other representatives. -- Stephen Fraser

Senator Bayh,

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the health care
bill before Congress. I actually have read the bill and am shocked by
the brazenness of the government's proposed involvement in the
patient-physician relationship. The very idea that the government will
dictate and ration patient care is dangerous and certainly not helpful
in designing a health care system that works for all. Every physician I
work with agrees that we need to fix our health care system, but the
proposed bills currently making their way through congress will be a
disaster if passed.

I ask you respectfully and as a patriotic American to look at the
following troubling lines that I have read in the bill. You cannot
possibly believe that these proposals are in the best interests of the
country and our fellow citizens.

employees ANDtheir families. (Employees shouldn't get excited about
this as employers will be forced to reduce its work force, benefits,
and wages/salaries to cover such a huge expense.)

Page 149 Lines 16-24: ANY Employer with payroll 401k & above who does
not provide public option will pay 8% tax on all payroll! (See the

Page 195 HC Bill: Officers & employees of the GOVT HC Admin.. will
have access to ALL Americans' finances and personal records. (I guess
so they can 'deduct' their fees)

Page 203 Line 14-15 HC: "The tax imposed under this section shall not
be treated as tax." (Yes, it really says that!) ( a 'fee' instead)
Page 239 Line 14-24 HC Bill: Govt will reduce physician services for
Medicaid Seniors. (Low-income and the poor are affected.)

Page 241 Line 6-8 HC Bill: Doctors: It doesn't matter what specialty
you have trained yourself in -- you will all be paid the same! (Just
TRY to tell me that's not Socialism!)

you.

Page 317 L 13-20: PROHIBITION on ownership/investment. (The Govt tells
doctors what and how much they can own!)

Page 317-318 lines 21-25, 1-3: PROHIBITION on expansion. (The Govt is
mandating that hospitals cannot expand.)
Page 321 2-13: Hospitals have the opportunity to apply for exception
BUT community input is required. (Can you say ACORN?)

Page 335 L 16-25 Pg 336-339: The Govt mandates establishment of=2
outcome-based measures. (HC the way they want -- rationing.)

Page 354 Sec 1177: The Govt will RESTRICT enrollment of 'special needs
people!' Unbelievable!

Page 379 Sec 1191: The Govt creates more bureaucracy via a
"Tele-Health Advisory Committee." (Can you say HC by phone?)

Page 425 Lines 4-12: The Govt mandates "Advance-Care Planning
Consult." (Think senior citizens end-of-life patients.)

Page 425 Lines 17-19: The Govt will instruct and consult regarding
living wills, durable powers of attorney, etc. (And it's mandatory!)
Page 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3: The Govt provides an "approved"

ORDER for end-of-life plans.. (AN ORDER TO DIE FROM THE
GOVERNMENT?!?)

Page 429 Lines 13-25: The GOVT will specify which doctors can write an
end-of-life order.. (I wouldn't want to stand before God after getting
paid for THAT job!)

Page 430 Lines 11-15: The Govt will decide what level of treatment you
will have at end-of-life! (Again -- no choice!)

Page 469: Community-Based Home Medical Services = Non-Profit
Organizations. (Hello? ACORN Medical Services here!?!)

Page 489 Sec 1308: The Govt will cover marriage and family therapy.
(Which means Govt will insert itself into your marriage even.)

Page 494-498: Govt will cover Mental Health Services including
defining, creating, and rationing those services.

Senator, I guarantee that I personally will do everything possible to
inform patients and my fellow physicians about the dangers of the
proposed bills you and your colleagues are debating.

Furthermore, if you vote for a bill that enforces socialized medicine
on the country and destroys the doctor-patient relationship, I will do
everything in my power to make sure you lose your job in the next
election.

Respectfully,

Stephen E. Fraser, MD

Dear Reader,

I urge you to use the power that you were born with (and the power
that may soon be taken away) and circulate this email to as many people
as you can reach. The Power of the People can stop this from
happening to us, our parents, our grandparents, our children, and to
following generations

That pretty well sums it up. Call your congressmen and senators, tell them to stop this madness. 1-202-224-3121.

"Focus Like a Laser Beam"

I’m glad that Obama and the democrats are “focusing like a laser beam” on jobs for this year. Imagine how much worse it could be if they were not. Thirty states reported more job losses in January, and February does not look much better. As Harry Reid said “…only 36,000 more people lost their jobs…” That’s encouraging. I can’t wait for the green jobs to kick in, but wait, they did in California and there were huge job losses in the field of green jobs in California. Darn those facts, they keep pointing out the terrible job Obama is doing. I’m sure Al Gore will find a way to blame it on global warming, so it won’t be Obama’s fault. In the mean time the brown shirts from SEIU are out threatening people to support Obamacare. No one can accuse Obama of not being ambitious.

John McCain Is At It , Again

McCain has teamed up with another liberal, Liebermann, in sponsoring a bill in the US Senate that is a direct attack on the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It is called “Enemy Belligerent, Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010,” and effectively treats American citizens worse than foreign combatants. I urge you to check out this piece of legislation and contact your senators and tell them to oppose this totalitarian bill. The bill “sets out a comprehensive policy for the detention, interrogation and trial of suspected enemy belligerents who are believed to have engaged in hostilities against the United States by requiring these individuals to be held in military custody, interrogated for their intelligence value and not provided with a Miranda warning,” writes the Atlantic’s Marc Ambinder. This comes on the heels of the Dept of Homeland Security declaring that returning war veterans, constitutionalists, people opposed to government run health care, and anyone who disagrees with the current administration, are terrorists and more dangerous than islamic terrorists. Now doesn't that make you feel all warm inside?

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell

I hate to enter into this discussion. As a veteran with relatives still serving, I have to answer the proposed change to Clinton’s policy on homosexuals in the military. I am opposed to removing this limit on homosexuals serving in our military. The veterans with whom I associate, many, and the service members in my family, many, all agree that homosexuals being allowed to serve openly in the military would be very detrimental to military preparedness. M.T. Owens’ article in the Wall Street Journal explains this much better than I can, and I quote: “Accordingly, the military stresses such martial virtues as courage, both physical and moral, a sense of honor and duty, discipline, a professional code of conduct, and loyalty. It places a premium on such factors as unit cohesion and morale. The glue of the military ethos is what the Greeks called philia—friendship, comradeship or brotherly love. Philia, the bond among disparate individuals who have nothing in common but facing death and misery together, is the source of the unit cohesion that most research has shown to be critical to battlefield success.
Philia depends on fairness and the absence of favoritism. Favoritism and double standards are deadly to philia and its associated phenomena—cohesion, morale and discipline—are absolutely critical to the success of a military organization.
The presence of open homosexuals in the close confines of ships or military units opens the possibility that eros—which unlike philia is sexual, and therefore individual and exclusive—will be unleashed into the environment. Eros manifests itself as sexual competition, protectiveness and favoritism, all of which undermine the nonsexual bonding essential to unit cohesion, good order, discipline and morale.

And before Gen. Colin Powell became enamored with Barack Obama he stated in 1992: "Skin color is a benign nonbehavioral characteristic. Sexual orientation is perhaps the most profound of human behavioral characteristics. Comparison of the two is a convenient but invalid argument."
Also, much has been made of the move of many countries to allow homosexuals to serve openly in their militaries. What has not been emphasized is that all of these countries have lost wars or have been heavily dependent on the US to win the wars in which they have been engaged since 1900. Be it with intelligence or material support, or actual US military engagement, these countries would not be able to fend for themselves. Even natural disasters cause the countries of the world to call for US assistance. And our non-homosexual military always responds and performs excellently. ‘Nuff said.

Focus on Important Obama Issues

Whether or not Obama practices Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, or voodoo, does not matter. Likewise it is unimportant whether he is black or white, or if he has a birth certificate or not. What is important to focus on is what he wants to do to our country. That is evident in his policies, his advisers, and the direction he is leading the country. If you haven't noticed, he is trying to lead us over a cliff. This falls into line with his advisers, appointees, and the people who have influenced him. The growth of government is reminiscent of FDR and LBJ, who initiated programs which have bankrupted our country. From the New Deal to the Great Society, we have been moved further into a government control grid and away from the freedom of individuality for which our revolution of 1776 was fought. We see more and more people receiving sustenance from the government instead of working for it, and the sustenance they are given is taken away from the people who are working. Legalized armed robbery. This is very reminiscent of the Perons of Argentina, who drove a successful economy into devastation. Believe me, I enjoy "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" as much as the next person, but the actual policies of the Perons were terrible. And they are being replicated by Obama, Reid, and Pelosi. Now these people are trying to force through "Universal Voter Registration" because they see that "We the People" are waking up and getting active. Universal Voter Registration has ACORN and democrat voter fraud all over it. Contact your representatives and tell them to oppose this engine of fraud before it passes. And concentrate on opposing the horrible agenda of Obama and the democrats, not on the stuff that does not matter.

Al Gore, the Liar

I live in the south and it is twenty degrees, and has been for days, with no sign of warming any time soon. So, where is the global warming that Al Gore has made a fortune on? The way I see it, frozen palm trees in Florida are a prime example that the only global warming going on is directly because of the hot air that consistently comes out of Al Gore. It is no wonder that the liar did not carry his home state when he ran for president in 2000. And let us not forget, that Mr. “conserve energy” has a home with a larger ‘carbon footprint’ than some small countries. That does not include all the flying around the world on private jets.
