Theocracies

Monotheistic theocracies not actually headed by a deity, have historically been intolerant, repressive, violent, and deadly to the point of genocide. Whereas I am not attacking the faith of the faithful, I have to agree, to a degree, with Karl Marx: "Religion is the opiate of the masses." It has been used by unscrupulous politicians to move people into doing unthinkable violence against 'unbelievers'. In some cases effectively, in others, not so. Either way, the Jehovah of the Jews, Jesus of the Christians, and Allah of the Muslims did not use dynamite to make their point. People claiming to be their followers have done so repeatedly and still do today. God's idea of having free will to believe in and accept Him or not, is highly offensive to politicians and financial leaders who want to control us from the cradle to the grave. People stubbornly will not follow God as sheep to paradise, but will follow government as sheep to slaughter. My, how strange.

The American Revolution

American students are not taught about the American Revolution. They are taught that we declared indepedence on 4 July 1776 and that was that. They are not taught about what led up to that point or about what followed. Most Americans don't realize the war for independence raged from 1775 to 1787. In twelve years, combat ranged from Georgia to Massachusetts, from western N.Y. and Canada to what is now Tennessee and Kentucky. Open warfare with huge armies crashing into one another, with guerrillas on both sides brutalizing civilians sympathetic to their enemy in addition to harassing the enemy regular army. Violence which had not been seen on that scale in the colonies. Americans are not taught about sacrifice, about the signatories of the Declaration of Independence who died in the war. Who lost sons or whole families, who lost homes. Wealthy men before the war who died in poverty afterward because they believed in an independent country. We are approaching Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the Fourth of July. If none of this sounds familiar, look it up while we still have the resources to do so and remember the costs of our freedom. Would the founders of our great country, who sacrificed so much, feel that it was worthy or in vain if they could see the U.S. and our preoccupation with comfort and entertainment today?

Reconquista Dos

You may say that an illegal alien (undocumented worker, in Big Brother speak) who has 6 DUI convictions in 2 separate states is an anomaly. I beg to differ as Rep. Steve King, R.-Iowa, reports that 13 people are killed daily in the U.S. by drunk driving illegals. Now, why isn't MADD harping about that statistic? The auto deaths are in addition to the number of people murdered each day by illegals (12 per day, that's 21,900 since 9-11-01 as of 11-06). Regardless of legal status, if you drink and drive and wreck, it is not an accident if someone dies. It should be prosecuted as murder, 1st degree. In addition to their drunk driving habits many illegals have quite a criminal resume while in "our" country. In fact, 30% of felons in federal prisons are illegal aliens who have been convicted of violent or other felony crimes. Violent Crimes Institute estimates there are 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the U.S. who have had an average of four victims each. And their smuggling is not restricted to drugs but includes slave labor for child prostitution rings, and weaponry for violent street gangs.
The Border Patrol reports that there is evidence of an increasing number of illegal muslims crossing our southern border. Now I am sure all they want to do is be a cab driver at Kansas City International Airport. They are 'peaceful' missionaries for Islam. Islam doesn't missionaries, it has Jihadists whose mantra is convert or die. When Border Patrol agents try to do their job, they are persecuted by a bureaucracy intent on not protecting the U.S. Hence a known felon is given immunity and 2 Latino Border Patrol officers are sent to prison. The MS-13 gang would be several articles in themselves.

Manchurian Candidate Moment

With historical proof that the U.S. military used LSD on its own personnel during mind control experimentation, the advent of global positioning satellites, radio frequency identification, and the wave of secrecy shrouding government to protect it from 'terrorism', you will forgive me a Manchurian Candidate moment. Particularly when innocuous, non-violent people suddenly and inexplicably turn into mass murderers. One expects violence from those who chose a criminal path, not from honest workers and students. Is it the firearms? No, it has seldom been more difficult to buy a firearm, legally, in this country. And a firearm is an inanimate object, like a hammer, it is a tool, neither good nor bad.
Violent video games? No, the Virginia Tech murderer evidently never played anything. No, if you must blame someone other than the criminal,
A. Look at the people who have the resources to control or make someone snap, or
B. As Watergate's Deep Throat said, "Follow the money..." Who will profit from the consequences of these actions?
