2008 Olympics

We are approaching the 2008 olympics. A series of sporting events which began in the cradle of western democratic nations, Greece. This year's games are being held in one of the most repressive and brutal dictatorships on the face of the earth. The People's Republic of China is a military tyranny which uses the facade of commercial communism to deceive the west, particularly the U.S. into thinking that it's overall goal has changed. Their goal is the same. Global domination. This is no where more evident than in the peaceful nation of Tibet. The People's Liberation Army violently invaded Tibet in 1950 with 40,000 troops and has occupied the country ever since. There have been different estimates as to how many Tibetans have been murdered by the Chinese in more than 50 years of occupation, but 1 million or more is the consensous. This is in addition to the millions of chinese who have been murdered by this regime, which our government and business leaders continue to develop lucrative relations. The time is now past to voice opposition to the Olympics being held in China, but if enough voices are heard, the Chinese leaders will not get the free pass and favorable publicity they crave. Contact your elected officials, local newspapers, and broadcast stations with the message of "Free Tibet" , and remind our politicians that it could be very embarassing to be photographed with the people who are murdering innocent, defenceless people. Too bad Tibet does not have an active 2nd amendment and an active NRA to help them defend themselves.
